Mangaluru: Wenlock Hospital to get state-of-art Dialysis Center - Minister U T Khader

Mangaluru, 04 Mar 2015: A twelve-bedded state-f-the-art dialysis center will be inaugurated shortly at district Wenlock Hospital, said state health and family welfare minister U T Khader.
The minister Khader was speaking after inspecting the ongoing works of constructing dialysis center at Wenlock Hospital, here on Tuesday March 3.
He further said that the dialysis center will be model for rest of the state. Ventilators and beds are already procured and other equipments are arriving shortly, said minister Khader.
The state-of-the-art dialysis center will be developed with TV facility that will have health related programmes as the patient had to undergo dialysis required to spend nearly 4-hour. It aims at providing comfort for the patient. Besides, a restroom for those who accompany the patient will be constructed besides the center, said minister Khader.
Karnataka Bank has donated Rs 15 lac to dialysis center that will be improved by the financial assistances form various sources, added minister Khader.
Generic Pharmacy
Generic pharmacy will be established at Wenlock Hospital, to provide medicines at lowest price to patients. It would be set up near the entrance of Wenlock Hospital, besides railway station road. The construction is under way. The patients of Wenlock Hospital and other private hospitals can also buy the medicines at lowest cost, minister Khader.
Wenlock Hospital superintendent Dr Rajeshwaridevi was present on the occasion.
