Bantwal: Sahana M Shetty bags gold in NKFI Open Int’l Karate & kick boxing Championship

Bantwal, 26 Feb 2015: Sahana M Shetty, a native of Moodupadukodi, near here bagged gold in National Karate Federation of India (NKFI) Open International Karate and kick Boxing Championship – 2015 that was jointly organized by NKFI, New York World Continents Martial Arts Union and School Games Federation of India and Rural Games Federation of India, held at Baburao Sanar’s badminton hall, Pune, Maharashtra recently.
Sahana had also bagged black belt in Karate in her young age. She had also partaken in competitions that were organized by union ministry of youth affairs and sports, Asian and World Rural Games Federation. She has been selected to compete in International Karate Championship that will be held at Bhutan during March 2015.
Sahana is the daughter of Mohan Shetty couple, residing in the remote Narwaldadda village in Moodupadukodi, near here. She is studying in Class VIII at S V S High School, Vidhyagiri, here.
She has been trained by Nadeem and Sarfaraj of Shorin Rio Karate Association, Moodbidri.
