Mangaluru: Over One Lac people expected to partake in Hindu Samajotsav

Mangaluru, 26 Feb 2015: The final touches for the Hindu Samajothsav to be held in the Nehru maidan on Sunday March 1 as a part of golden Jubilee celebration of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) are on and a mammoth crowd of over one lac is expected to participate, said Vijayanat Vittal Shetty, the president of Hindu Samajotsav Committee.

Addressing the media persons here on Thursday February 26, Vijayanat said, ‘VHP central co-ordination Committee member Sadhwi Saraswati will deliver the keynote address during Samahotsav.’

VHP national golden jubilee celebrations honorary president Dr Veerendra Heggade will preside the function, while Swami Vishvesha of Pejavar mutt will deliver religious message on the same occasion, added Vijayanat.

 

‘A colourful procession of tableaus, accompanied by folk artistes, devotional singers will commence from Dr B R Ambedkar roundabout, here on Sunday March 1 at 2.00pm. The formal program will begin at 4.00pm,’ explained Vijayanat.

 

 
Parking arrangements

Since a large crowd of participants are expected, VHP has made parking arrangements at various places for the people coming from 5 major routes.
 
1. The vehicles which come from Mulky, Suratkal should drop all the people at Bunts Hostel circle after passing through Lady Hill. Lalbagh, PVS and should park at Ramakrishna College (Bunts Hostel) ground.

 

2. The vehicles which come from Kinnigoli, Kateel, Bajpe, Kavoor should drop all the people at Bunts Hostel circle after passing through Bondel, KPT and should park at Ramakrishna College (Bunts Hostel) ground.

 

3. The vehicles which come from Moodbidri, Kaikamba, Gurpur, Vamanjoor, Moodushedde should drop all the people at Bunts Hostel circle after passing through Kudupu, Nantoor, Mallikkatta and should park at C V Nayak Hall ground or Kadri ground.

 

4. The vehicles which come from B C Road should drop all the people at Balmatta after passing through Mahaveer roundabout at Pumpwell, Bendorewell and should park at Yemmekere ground or at Vaman Nayak ground, Jeppu after passing through Kankanady, Nandigudda and Mangaladevi.

 

5. The vehicles which come from Mudipu, Konaje, Manjeshwar, Talapady, Ullal should drop all the people at Balmatta after passing through Tokkottu, Pumpwell, Bendorewell and should park at Yemmekere ground or at J Vaman Nayak ground after, Jeppu after passing through Kankanady, Nandigudda and Mangaladevi.
