Mangalore University Library to organize Shodhganga Awareness Programme on Feb 12

Mangaluru, 09 Feb 2015: Mangalore University Library in collaboration with Information Library Network (IN FLIBNET) will be organizing daylong Shodhganga Awareness Programme for faculty members and research scholars at Mangalore University here on Thursday February 12.

 

Mangalore University vice-chancellor Professor K Byrappa will inaugurate the programme here on Thursday morning.

 

INFLIBNET scientist K Manoj Kumar will be the resource person.

 

Shodhganga is a digital repository setup for submission of electronic version of theses and dissertations by students/research scholars stands for the reservoir of Indian intellectual output stored in a repository hosted and maintained by INFLIBNET Centre. Students of different universities have already started submitting electronic version of their theses into the repository. So far, students from 47 universities have signed MoU with INFLIBNET Centre. Total number of theses submitted into the repository has grown to over 30,160.
 
The objectives of Shodhganga is to provide access to Indian theses and dissertations in open access to worldwide academic community; setting up of Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) Laboratory in eligible universities; extending access to anti-plagiarism software – iThenticat’Tunitin package 2 member universities; and funds for digitalization of backlists of these available in universities.
