Woman from Chitradurga dies of H1N1 in Manipal

Manipal, 07 Feb 2015:  A 48-year-old woman from Chitradurga district succumbed at the KMC Hospital in Manipal on Friday. With this the number of H1N1 deaths in Karnataka has shot up to three.

 

It is also said that two other patients are being treated at KMC Hospital, Manipal, for swine flu.

 

The first death of a 52-year-old former tahasildar from Bidar - occurred on Thursday. It is said that he had travelled to Andhra Pradesh and was first hospitalized there. He died in Bidar after testing positive for H1N1 virus.

 

On Friday evening, swine flu claimed one life in Bengaluru. The virus claimed a 35-year-old woman from Hoskote who was admitted to the Vaidehi Institute of Medical Sciences.

 

The virus has claimed lives in Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, besides Karnataka.
