Bengaluru: ICUF condemns church attacks in Delhi, Ghar Wapsi of Sangh Parivar & BJP
- Media Release
Bengaluru, 01 Feb 2015: Indian Christian United Forum (ICUF) in their media release condemned the attacks on churches in the national capital, forcing the installation of images of goddess Saraswati in Christian schools and Ghar Wapsi as spearheaded by Sangh Parivar and BJP.
ICUF reasserts the faith in secular ethos in the country and welcomes Ghar Wapsi of taking away unwanted weeds of non-believers from different community by Sangh Parivar. Christians are not disturbed, perturbed or threatened by the so called Ghar Wapsi or re-conversions by meaningless and insignificants who have no other contribution to society than nuisance value. True Christian believers as demonstrated in Iraq will be ready to sacrifice their lives not faith.
ICUF challenges Sangh Parival if anyone makes an attempt to convert a true Christian, he would get converted and surely become one among Christians. In the migratory story of India, Aryans are the actual migratory population. The earlier existent and original inhabitants in India are the Tribal’s and Dravidians which is presently the SC, ST and backward class communities. They had their own beliefs and rituals which could also be called their own religions. But, everyone in India with different religions and beliefs were collectively called Hindus. So if GharWapsi should mean going back home, Aryans should go back to Afghanistan or Iraq, their ancestral home basin and the rest get back to their original Tribal and Dravidian religions within India.
Buddhists revolted the caste system invented by the Aryans and stated a new religion, likewise the Jains, Sikhs and Lingayats do not want to and do not really identify themselves as Hindus. Now, if a person is converted back to the so called Hinduism, are they taken into the Aryan (Brahmins) fold? Why not? Historically the oldest of the Babylonian civilizations is Arab. Aryans are supposed to be descendents/children of this civilization, therefore GharWapsi will mean, an Aryan becoming an Arab. So will the North Indian Original Aryan (Brahmin) population go back and become Arabs?
India has 4963 communities, 325 functioning languages and 25 different scripts, a diverse country and its diversity is an asset. The Indian Census 2011 mentions that in India there are 80.5 percent Hindus, 13.4 percent Muslims and 2.3 percent Christians. The so-called Hindus are a conglomeration of communities and religions brought under the umbrella of Hindus by assimilation or branding by the Aryans. Therefore, they could be called many minorities coming together under a label to be considered a Majority. The Aryans are a miniscule minority sect. A genetic study on the population of India reveals that the Muslim and the Hindu population in the North, stems from the same Aryan lineage. It is like brothers and sisters divided in ignorance. RSS vehemently speaks of and confuses the Indian population about conversion by force or allurement. Forcible conversion is something which is opposed by every civilized and well meaning society and religion. True Christianity and Christians too oppose the same.
ICUF president T J Abraham, Capuchin Fr Robin Victor D’Souza of Kengeri, Sr Amala Sangraha and Sr Irudaya Sangraha of St Joseph’s of Tarbes, Immaculate Conception parish priest Fr John Solomon, Dr Manohar Chandra Prasad and William Pratap of Church of South India (CSI), ICUF vice president Silvian Noronha, ICUF general secretary Ida D’Cunha, Richard D’Souza of Carmel Kutam and Mudla Catholic Association president Richards were present at the media conference.
