Mangaluru, Dec 16, 2014: Sri Rama Sena staged a rally with the slogan ‘Save Cattle’ from Dr B R Ambedkar roundabout to district headquarter here on Monday December 15, against cow slaughter.
Sri Rama Sena south president Mahesh Koppa gave call to chop the hands of the cattle traffickers.
Addressing the protesters Mahesh said, ‘Cattle is divine to Hindus. The government should save the cattle and ban cow slaughter. Sri Rama Sena is ready to stop cow slaughter and cattle trafficking. The Sena activists are ready to stop cattle trafficking with swords to chop the hands of traffickers and are ready to burn their vehicles.’
‘Sri Rama Sena is bound to form strong Hindu community and strive against cattle slaughter, terrorism, conversion, and Love Jihad,’ said Mahesh. Quite contrary to the violent speech Dr Krishnaraj Mudigere suggested to take a peaceful approach.
Dr Krishnaraj said, ‘There is no point in nabbing traffickers and punishing them. Instead awareness on the importance of cattle should be created among the slaughterers and the general public. The main problem is that the public does not know the real worth of a cow,’ said Dr Krishnaraj.
On this occasion Sri Rama Sena activists took oath to save the cattle.
A memorandum was submitted to DC seeking ban on cow slaughtering, to declare cow as the national animal, to book traffickers under Goonda Act.
Rama Sena representatives from north India too participated in the rally.
