Beltangady: Dr S D Shetty selected to confer Inscriptions Literary Award

Beltangady, 05 Dec 2014: Dr S D Shetty, director of Dr Ha Ma Na Research Centre located in SDM College, Ujire, here was selected to confer Inscriptions Literary Award.

 

 
The Award will be conferred to Dr Shetty during the programme scheduled to be held at Karnataka Jain Bhavan, Bangalore presided by Swami Charukirti Bhattaraka of Shravanabelagola, on Tuesday December 9.
 
The Award comprises Rs 35,000 cash, citation letter and memento. 
 
Dr Shetty is a native of Haladipura, Honnavar in Uttar Kannada district. He continued to work as director of Dr Ha Ma Na Research Centre, after retiring as Kannada lecturer at SDM College, Ujire after putting in 35 years of service. Dr Shetty has done research in inscriptions of Tulunadu.
