Mangaluru: Chalipolilu, Tulu movie box-office hit; earns over Rs 1 crore in 3 weeks

Mangaluru, Nov 27, 2014: Chalipolilu, Tulu movie that was produced by Prakash K Pandeshwar under Jayakirana banner completed over 1,000 shows in 3 weeks by earning revenue of Rs 1.12 crore. It has proved that Tulu movies are capable of box-office hits with high returns.
Tulu movies were running under losses so far, while a few movies indeed made some profit and majority of them were utter failures. Meanwhile, none of the movies earned so much of income than Chalipolilu so far. Chalipolilu created a history in Tulu filmdom by collecting over Rs 1 crore in just 3 weeks.
The quality of movie, script, comedy, camera techniques….etc contributed for the success of Chalipolilu. The producer is happy on profitable bonanza and with all the possibilities its certain that it will complete record of 100 days. One cannot imagine how much would be the amount of profit by then. Chalipolilu is running in PVR Theater, Bangalore since 3 weeks.
Chalipolilu will be screened in other cities and towns including Mumbai and New Delhi across India where there is huge population of Tulu-speaking communities in the coming days. The present indicators show the hike in profit in this situation.
It’s the first movie produced under Jayakirana banner, directed by first-time director Veerendra Shetty Kavoor. Its success has stunned the experienced directors of sandalwood, because of the success of Tulu movie.
