Mangaluru: Luck saves Burglary attempt to loot jewellery shop at Kadri

Mangaluru, 25 Nov 2014: The burglary attempt to loot a jewellery shop at Kadri here on Monday November 24 night, was failed because of fuse blown away whilst drilling an opening into the safe.

 

Narayan Acharya of Shilpa Jewellers, located at Kadri came to know of the burglary attempt when he arrived at his shop on Monday morning.

 

The sources informed that the burglars first broke open the shutter of adjoining saloon and drilled an opening to gain access into the jewellery shop. Meanwhile, the burglars tried to drill an opening into the safe when the fuse blew plunging them into darkness.

Narayan Acharya yet has to furnish the details of exact quantity of jewellery and cash looted to the police.

Mangalore East (Kadri) police registered a case in this regard and investigations are under way.
