Mangaluru: City Airport customs seize gold worth over Rs 12 Lac concealed in sandals

Mangaluru, 25 Nov 25014: The officers of Customs at Mangalore International Airport seized 474.600 grams of gold on Tuesday November 25, valued at over Rs12 lac, in the form of 4 numbers of Ten tola gold bars and a gold coin concealed in the sandals worn by the passenger, who arrived from Dubai.
The passenger twenty-six-year-old Hamsa Ameer is a resident of H No 17/631, Kizhur House, Chandragiri, Post Kasargod, Kerala who arrived at Mangalore International Airport on Tuesday November 25 at about 8.40am by Jet Airways flight number 9W531 from Dubai.
Further investigation is under progress.
