Mumbai: Rangotsav, cultural extravaganza to mark 35th anniversary of Kalajagattu concludes

Mumbai, Nov 25, 2014: Rangotsav, cultural extravaganza that was organized to mark thirty-fifth anniversary of Kalajagattu, theater troupe founded by Karnataka Rajyotsav Award recipient Tonse Vijayakumar Shetty at Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (East) here was concluded on Sunday November 23.

 

Kateel – Durgaparameshwari temple priest Vedamurti Harinarayan Asranna offered motion for the valedictory function here on Sunday. Abu Dhabi NRI business tycoon B R Shetty was the chief guest of the occasion. Rangotsav organizing Committee president Ikala Harish Shetty presided the programme.

 

Karnataka former minister B Nagaraj Shetty, Rangotsav convener Yermal Harish Shetty, entrepreneur Sarvottam Shetty Abu Dhabi, Anand M Shetty (Organic Plastics), Dharmapal U Devadiga, Suresh Shetty Bellary, veteran litterateur Dr Sunita M Shetty, Chinnara Bimba – children’s theater troupe promoter Prakash B Bhandary were the guests of honor.

 

 

The heads of various Associations Santosh Shetty Pune, Shyam N Shetty, Dr Satyaprakash Shetty, journalist Chandrashekar Palettady, V G Pal Mangalore, Bantara Sangha office bearers Prabhakar L Shetty, Ultoor Mohandas Shetty, Mahesh S Shetty, Ratnakar Shetty Mundkoor were also present.

 

Speaking on the occasion, B R Shetty said, ‘It’s evident in the name ‘Kalajagattu’ the far range goal of reaching the art to global audience. Its founder Tonse Vijayakumar Shetty has fully devoted himself in the service of art. Rangotsav to celebrate its thirty-fifth anniversary is indeed model to the world. One gets blessed with the graces of God by devoting fully to the passion of art.
