Karkal: Adapady temple donates clothes to over 370 students of 11 Schools

Karkal, 22 Nov 2014: Umamaheshwar, Durgaparameshwari temple, Adapady near Palli, here organized distribution of clothes to over 370 students of 11 schools on Friday November 21. It was held for the successive thirteenth year.
The temple managing trustee Pundalika Nayak distributed the clothes to the students on the occasion.
The veteran journalist B Pundalika Marate in his presidential address said that the temple has been involved in charity, free food distribution, awarding scholarships to talented students and many more worthy deeds. By doing so, it has set an example for other temples in charity, said Marate.
The temple priest Vishnu Prasad Bhat compered the programme. Hariprasad Bhat, Shivaprasad Bhat, Devdas Patkar, Madhav Nayak Punaru assisted in the programme.
The teachers of 11 schools, students and their parents, faithful were present on the occasion.
Vikrant Bhat welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks.
