Beltangady, Nov 22, 2014: The living for self is not worth. True life lies in living for others. The moral values and good cultural upbringing is the essence of every religion, said Karnataka Governor Vajubai.

The Governor Vajubai was speaking after inaugurating eighty-second All religious convention held at Amrutavarshini auditorium of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, here on Friday November 21. The convention was organized as part of Lakshadeepotsav.

‘Everyone is bestowed with a force, while religion brings it to fore. If we live righteous life in our day-to-day living, then only we can advise others. We got to be truthful to be on righteous path. If our daily living is based on righteousness, we are likely to lead peaceful and happy lives. The religious aims at punishing the evil and saving the righteous,’ said Governor Vajubai.

There should not be conflict between mind and conscience. In that case, we got to follow the conscience. One should not go after wealth, power, too much happiness and lust. We got to be righteous to get the right to correct others. One got to do charity and good deeds without expecting anything in return. Being humane, keeping away from sin can lead us to eternity, added Governor Vajubai.
