Udupi: Sri Lankan PM D M Jayaratne to attend Convocation of Manipal University on Nov 8

Udupi, 07 Nov 2014: Sri Lankan prime minister, D M Jayaratne will be the chief guest for the nineteenth convocation of Manipal University to be held at KMC Greens Manipal here on Saturday November 8 at 5.00pm.
The convocation is spread over two-days to facilitate distribution of degrees to over 3,000 undergraduate and post graduate students.
The chief guest for the second day on Sunday November will be Banmali Agrawala, president and CEO of GE South Asia. Venue being the same, the programme begins on Sunday at 9.30am.
On first day, the awardees include gold medalists, Ph D scholars, undergraduates and postgraduates of all disciplines except Engineering. The second day has been set aside for the graduating students of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT).
