Udupi: BJP Yuva Morcha submits memorandum to DC for reduction of bus fares

Udupi, Nov 05, 2014: Condemning the stand of KSRTC and private bus operators not to reduce the bus fares in spite of reduction in diesel price; BJP Uuva Morcha submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner urging the district administration to reduce the bus fares as its burden for common man.
The delegation led by BJP state secretary Yashpal Suvarna and the city president Ranjit Salian submitted the memo to Deputy Commissioner ADC Kumar.
BJO Yuva Morcha stated that even though the diesel prices have been reduced by Rs 6 per liter, the private bus owners and the KSRTC has not reduced the bus fares. The fares are usually hiked if there is an increase in diesel prices. BJP Yuva Morcha cautioned the district administration if the fares are not reduced in 15 days, they will hold district-wide protests in this regard.
