Mumbai: Maha Governor flags-off Run for Unit on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

Mumbai, 01 Nov 2014: The Governor of Maharashtra Ch Vidyasagar Rao here on Friday October 31 flagged-off ‘Run for Unity’ a 2 kilometers run on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel celebrated as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’.
The Chief Minister-designated Devendra Fadnavis led the run for unity from the front.
The union ministers Prakash Jawdekar, Piyush Goyal and Raosaheb Danve also took part in the race.
Prior to the start of the race, the Governor administered a ‘Rashtriya Ekatmata Pledge’ to the participants of the run.
The run started from Air India building and culminated near the Parsi Gymkhana on the Marine Drive here.
