Udupi: Spandana TV seeks suspension of police demanding bribe in a Sting operation

Udupi, Oct 30, 2014: Spandana TV bureau chief Maim Ramdas and news editor Vinod Pudu presented a memorandum to Western Range IGP Amrut Paul at the headquarter in Mangalore on Wednesday October 29, urging the law enforcement agencies to suspend Brahmavar circle inspector Arun Nayak and a constable, because both of them demanded bribe for illegal sand transport that has been captured in a spy camera during sting operation carried out by Spandana TV. Its CD was also handed over to IGP Amrut Paul.

 

 

Spandana TV telecast the sting operation a few days ago. Both circle inspector Arun and a constable have assaulted Spandana TV reporter when the former realized sting operation and confiscated the spy camera.
