Mumbai: Governor spends Diwali with old, inform, handicapped & street children

Mumbai, 23 Oct 2014: Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao accompanied by his wife Vinodha on Thursday October 23 visited the King George V Memorial Infirmary at Mahalaxmi here on the occasion of Diwali and enquired about the wellbeing of the old and the destitute at the Anand Niketan Home for the Aged.
The Governor also visited the Vatsalya Foundation in the premises and distributed sweets to street children looked after at the Centre.
Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte, trustees D M Sukhatankar and R H Mendonca briefed the Governor about the activities of the Infirmary.
