Bantwal: 2 passengers & toddler critically injured in series of road mishaps

Bantwal, Oct 23, 2014: The series of road mishaps are being reported from across the taluk here on Wednesday October 22.
Three passengers including a toddler were critically injured when the car that they were travelling plunged into a gorge at Padekallu near Kanyana here on Wednesday October 22.
The critically injured were identified as Abdul Rehman, Zubair and toddler Anas, all are residents of Odiyoor in Karopady village. They were travelling to Uppala in Kerala from Odiyoor in their Maruti Alto car, when it plunged into a gorge.
The local auto rickshaw drivers took them to a private hospital at Vittal, near here.
In another incident, a truck carrying laterite stone to Uppinangady from Mangalore on NH 75 rolled over in front of Rajkamal Hall, Surikumer, near Mani, here on Wednesday October 22.
The driver and cleaner survived with minor injuries.
