Mangalore: Jezu Mhaka Zai, Konkani devotional Hymns album Released

Mangalore, Oct 22, 2014: The much-awaited Konkani devotional hymns album which was released in Abu Dhabi during Monti Fest celebration was officially released during the function held at St Lawrence parish, Bondel here on Saturday October 18.

 

Bajpe – St Joseph’s parish priest Fr Leo Lobo released CD of ‘Jezu Mhaka Zai’ along with Bondel parish priest Fr Andrew D’Souza, assistant parish priest Fr Jason Monis and ‘Daivik Amrith’ Konkani monthly editor Santhu Omzoor on the occasion.

 

Wilfy Fernandes from Kinnigoli who presently resides in Abu Dhabi has produced this album. Wilfy also composed the lyrics and music. Joel Pereira has rendered the voice.

 

 

The CD was well appreciated and accepted by people in Gulf countries. The hymns are well suitable for the Holy Mass celebration, especially for any festal celebrations.

 

‘Daivik Amrith’ is the main distributor of this CD in Mangalore and around. Earlier, Wilfy Fernandes had donated all the proceedings of this album towards the new twin church buildings of Abu Dhabi.

 

The CD is available in stores and parish offices across Mangalore and Udupi dioceses.

 

Fr Andrew in his introductory address urged the Mangalorean Konkani community to support this noble cause and appreciated Wilfy towards his selfless efforts.

 

Wilfy thanked all the priests and team of Daivik Amrith and the Bondel parishioners for giving him an opportunity to release his CD in their parish.

 

To ease the choir masters job, Wilfy has printed all the musical notations of this album in a computerized format which are available with Fr Andrew and Daivik Amrith office for free.
