Kasargod: Man nabbed for murdering nurse, dead body exhumed
Kasargod, 20 Oct 2014: Neeleshwar Police on Monday, October 20, exhumed the body of a 32-year-old woman who was buried in a coconut farm at Chendera Police limits in Kasargod.
The deceased is identified as Rajani(32), resident of Trikaripur. It is gathered that she was employed as a nurse at a private nursing home in Chervathoor.
Police have arrested Sathish(40), alleged lover of Rajani and co-owner of the nursing home in connection with the case.
Incident in detail
Rajani went missing on September 5 and her father Kannan filed a missing report on September 18. Sources claim that Rajani and Sathish were in love with each other. Rajani kept asking Sathish to enter wedlock, however he denied as he was already married and had two children. Infuriated with her repeated proposals, Sathish allegedly killed her.
According to police source, Sathish allegedly killed Rajani by strangulation her and then buried her body in a coconut farm near his house on Saturday, September 18. As foul smell emanated from the farm, police were pressed into action.
It is also said that Rajani’s family had suspected Sathish’s foul play in her missing case. Adhering to their suspicion, police had called Sathish twice for interrogation. He later went missing. However, the police were successful in nabbing him and exposing the truth.
