Mumbai, Oct 20, 2014: Karnire Vishwanat Shetty elected as new president of Bantara Sangha Mumbai® during the eighty-sixth annual general body meeting held at Radhabai T Bhandari auditorium of Bunts Bhavan, Kurla (East) here on Sunday October 19. The meeting was chaired by president chartered accountant Shankar B Shetty.
Lata Jayaram Shetty elected as president of women wing and Vivek V Shetty elected as president of youth wing.

He hails from Nandabettu, Karnire – Bola in Dakshina Kannada district. He has done graduation from Vijaya College, Mulky and migrated to Mumbai where he succeeded to become leading hotelier. He is the founder president of Vasai Taluk Hotel Association and Tulunada Bunts – Vasai taluk. He is philanthropist and renowned social activist. He is settled at Goregaon (East) with wife Lata Vishwanat, children Rishika, Vaishnavi and Maharshi.
