Karkal: Need of hour is to create cultured society - Gokuldas Nayak

Karkal, Oct 20, 2014: The need of the hour is to educate the children on the significance of Indian culture, virtues of human values, patriotism, traditions and religious practices, family living, in order to make them cultured citizens, said Mangalore municipal joint commissioner Gokuldas Nayak.
Gokuldas was speaking during valedictory of ‘Samskara Baladarsha – 2014, six-day camp organized jointly by Rajapura Saraswat Brahman Sangh® Palli, near here and Saraswat Learning Foundation America at Umamaheshwara and Durgaparameshwari temple, Palli – Adapady, near here on Sunday October 19.
The resource person Sadashiv Nayak and yoga instructor Devdas Nayak were felicitated on the same occasion.
The temple trustee Pundalika Nayak, the veteran temple priest Vedamurti Srinivas Bhat delivered religious discourse.
Bantakal – Durgaparameshwari temple managing trustee Ganapati Nayak Gurnebettu, Rajapura Saraswat Bank Karkal president Kadari Ravindra Prabhu was the chief guests.
The chef Umesh Nayak Punaru was felicitated by the dignitaries.
Bhuvanendra College retired principal Y Pandurang Nayak was also present.
