Bantwal: Swachh Bharat campaign kicks-off at Karenki

Bantwal, 12 Oct 2014: The local residents of the locality of Durgaparameshwari temple, Karenki, near here cleansed the surroundings of temple as part of Swachh Bharat campaign, repaired the main street with voluntary labour, here on Sunday October 12.
RSS Bantwal taluk Pramukh Damodar Nettarakere briefed on the significance of Swachh Bharat campaign.
Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) supervisor Vinay Gunaga, Durga Friends president Vittal D, the temple celebrant Gururaj, Ramanna Kulal, Pragatibandu self-help-groups Federation president Chandappa Moolya, Chandrashekar Decchar, journalist Raja Bantwal, entrepreneur Harish Taccode, Harish Kadamalike, Keshav Acharipalke, Balakrishna G Manoj, Ganesh G and others were present.
The potholed road linking Mannihalla to Vamadapadav was repaired by the locals by voluntary labour. Swachh Bharat campaign was jointly organized by SKDRDP, RSS – Bantwal, Durga Friends – Karenki, Durga Mahila Samiti and local villagers.
