Qatar: MCA confers Kala Puraskar to renowned writer Catherine Rodrigues Katpady

Doha/Qatar, Oct 11, 2014: Indian Embassy security advisor Captain Ramanan Ravikumar felicitated the renowned writer Catherine Rodrigues Katpady, on behalf of Mangalore Cultural Association by conferring MCA Kala Puraskar consisting of Rs 1,00,000, a citation letter and a memento, during semi final of Gulf Voice of Mangalore held at Al Ghazal Club auditorium, here recently. Clement Saldanha read the citation letter.
Harry Correa and Sana Britto won the semi final of Gulf Voice of Mangalore competitions.
Shirva parish priest Fr Stany Tauro, Dr Prashant Raj and Ashit Pinto were the jurors.
Catherine Rodrigues distributed the prizes to the winners Gladson D’Almeida (first), Neville Fernandes (second) and Benjamin Alfred Rebeiro (third) of MCA poetry competition.
Rupert Lobo and Prima Pinto sang the songs. DJ dance group presented the dance show.
MCA president Arthur Pais welcomed the gathering. The programme convener Veena Rebimbus proposed vote of thanks. Alfred Crasta and CGS Taccode compered the programme.
