Udupi: Results of Tamron Colors of Sri Krishna state level photography contest

Udupi, Oct 07, 2014: The jurors of Tamron colors of Sri Kishna state level photography competition that was organized by Udupi Press Photographers Association (UPPA), in association with Sri Krishna mutt, Udupi and Kaniyoor as part of Krishnastami and Vittla Pindi, held the selection at Aditi gallery here on Monday October 6.
Manipal’s veteran journalist A Eshwarayya and Mangalore’s renowned photographer Yajna Mangalore were the jurors.
A total of 292 photographers have sent 581 pics for the competition.
Apul Ira bags first prize
Mangalore press photographer Apul Ira bagged the first prize, Prasanna Perdoor (second prize), A Vijayendra Ambalapady (third prize). Rajesh Nayak, Prabhuswamy, Prabhakar, Winny Image Arts and Manjunat Bhat (consolation prizes)
Apul will be presented with Tamron Company camera 18MM-270MM lens worth Rs 32,000. Hotel Kidiyoor is the sponsors of second prize. The winners of third prize and consolation prizes will be presented with cash award and certificates.
The prize distribution ceremony will be held at Krishna mutt Rajangan, here on Sunday October 12 at 3.00pm. Swami Vidhyavallaba will hand over the prizes.
An exhibition of he selected pics will be held at the occasion.
UPPA office bearers Astro Mohan, Janardhan Kodavoor, Hemanat Padubidri and Ganesh Kallianpur were present.
