M’lore: Konkani Natak Sabha Distributes Prizes to Inter-parish Competition Winners

Mangalore, 28 Sep 2014: The prize distribution ceremony of the various competitions conducted during the year by Konkani Natak Sabha® Mangalore was held on 27th September 2014 at Don Bosco Hall here.
The competitions held during the year were elocution, Poetry, singing, Dance and Haskule (comedy) skit competition.
In the singing competition, below 15 years category out of city parishes Nithyadhar Nagar Parish bagged first place, while Madanthyar Parish stood second and Gurpur Parish third place. In the city parishes Cordel Parish bagged first place, while Cascia Parish stood second and Valencia Parish third place. In the above 15 years category out of city parishes Gurpur Parish bagged first place, while Nithyadhar Nagar Parish stood second and Hospet and Allipade Parish third place. In the city parishes Cordel Parish bagged first place while Valencia Parish stood second and Cascia and Bajal Parish third place.
In the Dance competition Cordel Parish bagged first rolling shield, while Madanthyar Parish stood second and Bajal Parish third place in the below 15 years category. Cordel and Ashoknagar Parish bagged first rolling shield in above 15 years category while Angelore Parish stood second place and Modankap and Urwa Parish third place.
In the Haskule skit competition Ashoknagar Parish bagged 1st place, while Paldane Parish stood second and Naynad Parish third place.
Cordel parish bagged overall championship in all the competitions.
The prizes of the competitions were distributed by the President of KNS Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza.
Vice president Dolphy Saldanha, general secretary Sunil Menezes and Joint Secretary Jeri Pinto, Adolpus Avitus Cutinha(Dolla), Jossy Theodore, Felix Sequeira among others were present.
President Fr Peter Cyprian D’Souza welcomed the gathering. General secretary Sunil Menezes read the list of prize winners and congratulated them on behalf of Konkani Natak Sabha and proposed vote of thanks. Dolphy Saldanha compeered the programme.
