CM Siddarammaih to inaugurate Mangalore Dasara on Sep 27

Mangalore, 20 Sep 2014: The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the grand Mangalore Dasara celebrations at Gokarnanata temple, Kudroli, here on Saturday September 27, said temple governing council member Harikrishna Bantwal.
Addressing media conference at Gokarnanata temple, here on Saturday September 20, Harikrishna said, ‘The grand Mangalore Dasara will be held from September 25 to October 5. The specially decorated mantap’s for the worship of the Sharada Devi and 9 Durga deity’s will be made ready and they will be worshipped for 9 days. On October 4, a procession to immerse the idols will be held under the leadership of former union minister Janardhan Poojary and tableau’s from various parts of the state and 3 from Kerala state will also participate in the procession,’ said Harikrishna.
The inauguration ceremony of Dasara will be held on Saturday September 27 at 6.30pm.
Janardhana Poojari will preside the ceremony.
Harikrishna also said that the route of the procession will be decorated with 20 lac electric lamps and cultural groups will perform in all days of Dasara.
The governing council president Sairam, vice-president Raghavendra Kuloor, treasurer Padmaraj R and others were present.
