Bangalore: TRIO World School Students reach out to J&K Flood victims

Bangalore, 20 Sep, 2014: Students from TRIO World School (TWS) extended their support to reach out to the Jammu and Kashmir flood victims by donating supplies worth Rs. 1,50,000. The supplies included materials like Woolens, blankets, tarpaulins, dry ration, ready to eat foods, dry nuts, utensils, buckets, mugs, raincoats and umbrellas, bed sheets, torch and batteries, candles and matchbox.
“Countless people have lost their lives and many remain stranded as the Army and NDRF are fully involved with ongoing rescue operations. In times like these we wanted to extend our hand to help in reducing and easing these victims plight. I sincerely appreciate the students’ and their parents’ efforts in helping us reach out to them through their generous donations,” said Mr. Naveen, Managing Director of TRIO World School.
TRIO World School has tied up with an NGO “Goonj” and is donating the supplies received to them. Even earlier, TWS had extended their help to victims of Haiti and Japan earthquake.
