Bantwal: Healthy kid competition at Lions Seva Bhavan on Nov 14

Bantwal, 18 Sep 2014: At the joint aegis of Lions Club and Lioness Club and in association with health and family welfare department, health checkup of kids till the age of 3 years will be held in 18 state-run primary health centers (PHCs) across taluk from October 1 to October 30. Healthy Baby competition will be held at Lions Seva Bhavan, B C Road, here on the occasion of Children’s Day celebration on November 14, said Lions Club president Shivanand Baliga.
Addressing media conference here on Thursday September 18, health checkup will be held in collaboration with health department, women and child welfare department. At this backdrop, over 500 animators of children’s nursery were personally met and sought their assistance. Bantwal taluk panchayat also extended support in this regard, said Baliga.
Taluk health officer Dr Manjunat said that all the kids competing in the Healthy kid competitions will be handed special prizes, besides information on nutritious food will be given to the parents during health checkup of their kids.
