Udupi: Hindi plays key role among Indians overseas - Dr Suma

Udupi, Sep 16, 2014: Hindi is significant in fostering unity among the multilingual people across the country, said University College – Mangalore Professor Dr Suma.

 

Hindi Professor Dr Suma speaking during Hindi Day Celebration at St Mary’s College, Shirva, near here on Monday September 16. She further said that Hindi is widely spoken among the Indian expatriates across the globe, said Dr Suma.

 

 

The College designated principal Major Pascal D’Sa expressed happiness over celebrating Hindi Day in a distinct manner.  

 

The Hindi department head Professor Vittal Nayak delivered the introductory address.  Professor Prameela read the names of winners. 

 

Raksha welcomed the gathering.  Riya proposed vote of thanks.  Mehaboobi compered the programme.

 

Andernagari Chopatraja, Hindi play was staged by the students directed by Professor Vittal Nayak as part of cultural programme.  It was indeed successful in bringing home the message to the wide audiences.
