Mangalore: Kavita Trust holds inter-parish poetry reciting competition

Mangalore, Sep 8, 2014 : Konkani Natak Sabha® in association with Kavita Trust® organized inter-parish poetry reciting competition at Don Bosco Hall here on Sunday September 7.

 

The Competition was held in two categories - below 15 years and 15 to 30 years. In the below 15 years category 20 competitors took part in the competition.

 

Prethuma Monteiro of Vamanjoor parish bagged the first prize, Austin D’Cunha of Bejai parish bagged the second prize and Annalisa D’Silva of Bondel parish bagged the third prize in the category of below 15 years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the 15 to 30 years category 31 competitors took part in the competition. Amora Monteiro of Vamanjoor parish and Jaison J Sequeira of Gurpur parish bagged the first prize, Nilisha D’Souza of Bejai parish bagged the seconde prize and Roshan Crasta of Paldane parish bagged the third prize.

 

Kavita Trust distributed certificates and poetry books to all the participants.

 

William Pais, Eddie Sequeira and Avrel Rodrigues were the jurors.

 

Fr Cyprian Peter D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Dolpy Saldanha and Vitori Karkal compered the programme.  Konkani Natak Sabha® general secretary Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks. Kavita Trust® president Melvyn Rodrigues announced the results.
