Bantwal: Minister Rai calls for Burden-free education in teacher’s interest

Bantwal, Sep 06, 2014: The teachers facing numerous difficulties. Their creativity is hampered because they are burdened with teaching and other related duties. The teaching profession is as sacred as religious; despite this the society is viewing them in suspicion. It has to be changed, while the state government is contemplating on reducing their burden, said the state forests, Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai.
The minister Rai was speaking during Teachers’ Day celebrations held at Sri Dharmasthala Manjunataswamy Kallyana Mantap, here on Friday September 5. It was organized by taluk Teachers’ Day celebration Committee in association with Rotary Club.
Don’t pressurize teachers
The teachers can better function free from pressure because it would set ideal environment for studies. The elected representatives, department officers and students parents ought not to pressurize the teachers, advised the state health minister U T Khader. Meanwhile, the minister U T Khader assured to extend health scheme meant for state-run teachers to private teachers also.
TP president Yashwant Deraje inaugurated the programme.
ZP members Thumbay Prakash Shetty, M S Mohammed, Mamata Gatti and Nalini Shetty, TP vice president Vilasini Sarapady, TP members Anand Shamboor, Dinesh Amtoor, Kamalakshi, Rotary Club president Prakash Karant, Sanjeev Poojary, TP CEO Cyprian Miranda, High School teachers Association president Joel, primary teachers Association president Francis D’Sa, physical teachers Association president Radhakrishna Adyantaya were present on the occasion.
The retired teachers were felicitated along with both district and state level top teachers of 2013.
