M’lore: Baby assumed dead takes a rebirth just before funeral

Mangalore, 24 Aug 2014: A premature baby that was taken for burial after being assumed dead by doctors was found to be alive just as the parents poured milk into the baby’s mouth as per Hindu tradition.
This incident has been reported from Kumpala, near mangalore on 23rd august.
Gauri from Kumta had a premature delivery on August 15 at one of the private hospitals in deralakatte and the baby was kept in the incubator since it had several disorders. The parents of the baby assuming that the baby was dead prepared for the cremation.
During the last rites, in accordance with the Hindu tradition, Pushparaj poured milk into the mouth of the baby and suddenly the baby started to make make movements and started to cry. Later the baby was taken to another hospital and as per the doctors who take care of the baby its condition is stable.

Very bad experience of medical practice and services. such negligence should occur. The authoriy mus tinvestigate the matter and take suitable action against the negligent persons responsisble for such a tragedy. |
