Mumbai, Aug 17, 2014 : Kannada Sangh Santacruz® convened fifty-seventh annual general body meeting at Billawa Bhavan, Santacruz (East) here on Friday August 15.
Kannada Sangh Santacruz® president L V Amin presided the programme here on Friday evening.
L V Amin in his presidential address said, ‘We have studied with poverty to come up in life. Meanwhile, the poverty no more an hindrance to new generation of children because the community associations, social welfare and voluntary organizations are indeed helping the economically-weaker students with financial assistance to support their studies. Kannada Sangh Santacruz® plays vital role like the nation striving for the empowerment of all citizens, said Amin.
The advocate B Somanat Amin, chartered accountant Prakash Shetty, entrepreneurs Sadanand Sapalya, Jagannat Shetty and Prakash Shetty were present on the occasion.
Nityanand D Kotian who was promoted as general manager of Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited was felicitated on the same occasion.
The scholarship to community’s economically-weaker students was also distributed during the programme.
The honorary treasurer chartered accountant Ramesh A Shetty, joint secretary Chandrahas J Suvarna, joint treasurer R P Hegde, advisors B D Suvarna and Narayan S Shetty, and others were also present.
Kannada Sangh Santacruz® vice president Nityanand D Kotian welcomed the gathering. Laxmi Kotian rendered the prayers. The honorary chief secretary Sujata Shetty compered the programme.
