Mangalore: BIG FM presents Freedom Utsav - 2014 - Freedom from Sorrow

Mangalore, 17 Aug 2014: While India celebrated its sixty-eighth Independence Day with great fervor and devotion, 92.7 Big FM and Young Friends Group Kottara, here celebrated in their own unique style and organized a day out with kids called ‘BIG Freedom Utsav 2014’ on Friday August 15.
The event was inaugurated by ACP Udaya Nayak, actress – model Sangeeta Bhat, Dr Kishore, winner of ‘Voice of Bangalore season 5,’ playback singer Nitin Acharya, Rang movie director Vismay Vinayak, short movie director Rajesh Shetty, Nishith, Sandeep and Gururaj and others from Young Friends Kottara president and Valedictory by MLC Captain Ganesh Karnic and Tulu artiste Dinesh Attavar. A special dance performance was also given by Baby Prakruthi.
The event primarily emphasized on spreading happiness amongst HIV positive children and it also witnessed several concurring individuals who joined hands together with the organization to distribute sweets, books and clothes among kids. With the objective of doing something special and unique, the organization’s core intention was to spread a social message through this occasion.
Addressing to the gathering Acp Udaya Nayak said, ‘If everybody in the society start conducting such events, nobody will feel abandoned. This initiative nurtures the feeling of compassion and unity.’
He appreciated BIG FM and everyone for conducting these events.
MLC Ganesh Karnik said, ‘Though we are independent from British, we need to get Independent from crime, haterdness and poverty. Lets make a decision of making India a developed country in coming years.’
Rakesh Shetty and Rj Varsha of BIG FM compered the programme.
The organization is happy by the positive response they got and intend to hold more community friendly events similar to this in the future.
The executive producer RJ Varsha, RJ Roopesh, RJ Errol, Station head Anirudh, Alston from Big FM were present.
The games, cricket match were held from morning till evening on Friday August 15. The event was followed by dinner.
