Udupi: Hiriyadka Zonal Volleyball Tourney held at Moodubelle

Udupi, 12 Aug 2014: Hiriyadka zonal level volleyball tourney for higher primary students was held at the Church Aided Higher Primary School grounds, Moodubelle, near here on Monday August 11.

 

Correspondent of St. Lawrence Educational Institutions, Rev. Fr Joshwy Fernandes inaugurated the tourney here on Monday morning.

 

Belle grama panchayat president Rajendra Shetty, former Udupi ZP president Gerald Fernandes, Moodubelle parish council vice president A K Alva, PT instructors Association of Udupi president Satish Salian, philanthropists Victor D’Souza and Mukund Kamat were the chief guests of the occasion.

 

 

St Lawrence English Medium School bagged the championship trophy and the Church Aided Higher Higher Primary School, Moodubelle was the runner up in boys division.

 

The Church Aided Higher Primary School, Moodubelle bagged the championship trophy and Hirebettu Aided Primary School was the runner up in girls division.

 

Udupi zonal physical training superintendent Basavaraj delivered the keynote address.

 

P D Kamat presented the trophies and prizes to the winners.

 

Sylvester Mathias, headmaster of the Chruch Aided Higher Primary School, Moodubelle welcomed the gathering. The PT instructor Kirtikumar Shetty compered the programme.
