Bantwal: BJP lays seizure to Mescom office against irregular power cut

Bantwal, Aug 05, 2014 : The taluk BJP and farmers’ fraternity laid seizure to Mescom office, here on Monday August 4, condemning the irregular electricity supply and anti-farmers’ policy of state government.
The protesters held a rally from the city junction, B C Road till Mescom office at Kaikunje, here where they held a protest meet.
The protesters urged the state government to stop irregular electricity supply, to supply at least 8-hours uninterrupted electricity supply, to replace old transformers, to issue connections for irrigation, to legalize illegal connections for irrigation purposes, to appoint more linemen to fill the shortage.
The former MLA Padmanabha Kottari, BJP state vice president Sulochana Bhat, Bantwal BJP president B Anand spoke on the occasion.
A memorandum was submitted to Mescom officer Umeschandra, to stop long power cuts, to stop unauthorized electricity supply from town feeder to rural service lines etc.
AP member Jayasri Pudu, Chennappa Kotian, the taluk APMC president Nemiraj Rai, TP president Yashwant Deraje, members Dinesh Amtoor, Anand Shamboor, Ramesh Kudmeru, BJP leader Ramdas Bantwal, Dinesh Bhandary, Manikyaraj Jain, Anand Yedtoor, Purusha Salian, Devappa Poojary, Chandrashekar tailor, Harischandra Poojary and others were present.
