Healthy Chicken Palak
Ingredients:
- One and a half Kg chicken
- One big bunch of palak about 250 grams
- One small bunch of coriander
- One small bunch of mint
- Two big onions
- On and a half inch long ginger
- Ten cloves of garlic
- Five green chillies
- Ten cashew nuts
- One table spoon mix masala powder
- One cup curd
- One tea spoon turmeric powder
- One lime
- One cup milk cream
- Two table spoon oil
- Salt as per taste
Method of Preparation:
- Steam or boil the palak without covering the vessel and make puree with coriander and mint.
- Make paste of onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies and cashew nuts.
- Marinate the chicken with the above paste, curd, lime, turmeric and salt.
- Keep for half an hour.
- In a vessel cook chicken on slow fire.
- In another vessel, put oil and pour the puree, add mix masala and stir fry for two to three minutes and pour the contents over the cooked chicken.
- aste the gravy for salt and add if needed.
- If the gravy is too thick, add little water as per requirement. On top of it pour milk cream and garnish with little coriander.
N.B.: This preparation can be served with bread, parottas, chapattis or noodles.
