Hemphil, thank you for the comment!! What I meant is such a busy link and life line bridge is gone unattended by the authority supposed to maintain it. Our elected MP, MLA s and major politicians (not interested about their party) travel on the same road and there is no will to urge repairs!! Filling potholes may cost few thousand rupees!! I doubt this bridge has seen paint since built!! Luckily it was built by British where quality was better and corruption was less! Though I am not a supporter of then British rule, appreciate the quality of public work and age old technology!! Today we have many civil engineering colleges in DK...we cannot see any lasting highway engineering! Village roads and Santhekatte are still far away...time to discuss may be in the episode of next generation. | |

Atleast they can fill the potholes...if not more. I believe this bridge is built by British!! |
