The proceedings of the assembly are illegal. For what reasons the speaker has disqualified 6 indepents? what breach they have committed? They are independent and they can individually support any party they like. Speaker cannot take action nor any party. If they violate any rule of the house in the house the speaker can suspend them for the day or for certain days.Therefore BJP has by illegal way said they have majority. The oppoding 11 MLAs of BJP are managed to be disqualified just before the commencement of the proceedings is illegal. Speaker has acted beyond his powers. He is not fit to continue as speaker. He has disgraced the house. The position of strngth should be as on the day of issuing notice. Hence Cong-73; JDS-27; descendint/oposing BJP-17 and Independent-6 is more than the BJP MLAs supporting BSY. Hence Cm has to resing if he has any principle, sense , ethics or belief in God. If not, he is not a man of any reason,a leader. In the circumstances what ex PM H.D. Devegouda once called him is idiot? He knows not what he does for the sake of power and damaging the image of BJP.
It is disgrace for people of Karnataka to have such a CM.

Dr eugene has beautifully picturised the subject, but the readers of the columns are not going to fields for this work nor they can help in any way.
Cultivation in Udupi district has become very hard task for want of labour for cutting and cleanig work. For the later cooperative spirit also will not work. It is a work of 3-4 person. For tranplanting, harvesting etc neighbours used to join together and some how used to manage but now no such spirit. Individualistic attitude, complexes, jealousy and ego are dominating in the background. Hence paddy cultivation is difficult. machine are available but the holding is small. Not working proeposition. The Govt. Policy is also against not encouraging.
I used to do this work until 1995 but later found it difficult to continue farming.
In my personal view,it requires more lands say 10-20 acres when mechanical-large sacale farming can be undertaken to be worth getting some thing in return. It is indeed pathetic to see the present day problemsthe farmer is facing.May God Bless his efforts.

Farmers in our village may consider consolidation of holdings under co-operatives or partnerships, so they can marshal the resources efficiently.

If Indians forget our POLITICAL diffrenciation in sports, and do something special concentration in sports; India can reach our aim in sports
