It was my very first experience as I joined my family in participation at the \"Confraternity Sunday\" Centenary celebrations of the Parish and I can truly say that it was spectacular !!! A glimpse of magnificant traditions and the values it represents. Bravo !!!!!

Your well in depth article about smoking was very informative. I have already had 2 HEART ATACKS, last one was 11/17/10. It was near fatal,for I was gone for about 2 minutes. I was brought back from certain death by a second shock from the defibrilator. I had no idea that the smoking may have been a large factor in my choleserol build up in the arteries, and also I had no idea that clots could and would arise from the smoking. It has openedupmy eyes and way of thinking about smoking, even though I have smoked from almost 20 years,a pack a day. NowI seethe need to quit and to always remember to say NO out loud, so that I can train myself to stay away from cig once and for all.

Thank you and wish me luck with my desire to quite while I\ mstill alive,and greatfull to be alive again, for the 3rd time.

Amazing stuff from Dr Eugene and Willy Bappu. Being a part of the family, I had snippets of the past of the D Sas of Belle. But the entire historical milestones of the annals of the family gave a great perspective. you recreate histories man, creating history is inevitable but recreating it so colourfully is a miracle on screen. thank u for making us all more more proud of ourselves and in our heritage..love u.

As I was watching the interview today with Ranjitha in Suvarna channel Ranjitha and the advocates mentioned "Some Christian missionaries who do not like the Rapid popularity of Nithyananda framed this plot". Does not that statement hurt us? Do some Christian missionaries attend Nithyananda ashram? If somebody Christian missionaries did not do then these allegations must be verified and should be stopped because for everything our religion should not be a target always? Don t we feel something in ourselves when these kind of allegations come against Christian religion? Will there be any necessary steps on these allegations, by our spiritual leaders? We wait and watch.

It was His Plans that the faithfull of Belle should acknowledge the graces granted to them through the intercession of St. Lawrence. It was possible under the leadership of Rev. Fr. The heart of the faithful, me thinks, rejoice with happiness that they could return some thing to God by this way as what ever they have IS FROM HIM . The Mighty Lord SHALL shower his blessings on them abundantly so that model evangelization mission is carried on with the true spirit of gratefulness.
I heartily congratulate Fr. Joswey and all involved in the Hooroekaanike because it is an exmple for the generationext. This will be added to the annals of Belle St lawrence Church. Ivan, happy to read your article. yes those were the golden days of our childhood and the church compound was really beloved for us as a lot of sentiments are attached to it. I regret for todays children and youngsters who are missing these lovely opportunities to improve their personality by wasting time in the peth (market). One thing is very sure for me - the one who was around St.Lawrence doing good deeds will be surely blessed.

Ivan you have nicely put the memories of our childhood man. You may be remebering our "chrism" dothorn where we tried to steal "Pera" guvava fruit and Fr. Hery gave good award for that. Also our caralls singing , "Kokkada" sodality trip all these may be never forgettable right? Thanks for putting your memories here and made us to cherish them all again.

My heart swelled with pride to read the outstanding achievements of Commodore Castelino. He overcame the adversities of life by sheer hard work and dedication and achieved great heights. Being a retired Naval Officer myself, I have heard his story of the first sailor to rise to the rank of Commodore. As luck would have it, he did not the coveted flag rank, but the awards and recognition he has received post retirement have made up for it. His stamina and energy even at this age are amazing. A gem of a man about whom Belle is truly proud of...I wish him and Mrs. Castellino and their extended family the very best and hope their story inspire many a youth from Karavali districts....to achieve greater heights..

Being a retired Naval Officer myself, I read this article with profound pride and emotions about Commodore and his achievements. I know first hand that it is no mean to rise from the lowest ranks in the Navy to a commissioned officer leave alone Commodore. Indeed remarkable..is the journey of his life..as is the name of the book he released during the occasion. Congratulations to you and Rose for being a inspiration to all of us on how to live life King Size...all the best in all your endeavours..you looked so handsome and resplendent in your No. 2s..I must also compliment the people of Belle for making it such a grand occasion..otherwise who remembers Old soldiers and sailors these days?
