This is a welcome move to protest against the insensible and meaning less Commission report cooked by toomany cooks and spoiled totally the very purpose of a inquiry commission which unwittingly gave interim report and forgot the contents in the final report. If considered desireable the gathering must also resolve to initate legal action for such flouting reports by commissions headed by retired High Court judges, who have no wit to arite on inquiry at the cost of the State funds. The Press has thrown enough light on this report, which is worthy of dumping in the Bangalore Gabage bins near Mr BSY s residence.

Good article. Reminds me of my days when we were holidaying in Mangalore during school vacations. These GoliSodas were very popular in the 60s and 70s. And my late Father in Law (Lawrence Alva) who had a small goodangadi in Mudarangadi became very famous due to this Golisodas and popularly called as Soda Bhat. Even today after closing his business almost 2 decades back, you can always reach Alva Vihar in Mudarangadi by just saying Soda Bhat Mane . Thanks to this Golisoda, someone has become famous in his hometown.

It does not look that King Abdullah who is nothing but an American and Israeli puppet will be able to whether the waves of democracy and freedom. His and other dictators days are numbered. It would be better if they read the writings on their walls and leave their kingdom and allow their people to take over the command.

All awards in India - whether it is the Padma Shri or just any filmy award - are given to the highest bidder. In this case, Shahrukh Khan won the best actor award because he must have filled up the coffers of those who matter/decide on who should get the honor. His totally inaccurate portrayal of a person who is autistic is laughable because autistic people do not interact with others as they live in their own world.

This is outrageous. Totally absurd that the best actor award is not given to Salman Khan, who truly deserves it. I reckon that the judging of best actor is not impartial...... this is absolute cheating. I am greatly disappointed and share my heartfelt regrets woes with Salman.

The comments of Mr Moily the Central Llaw minister are alright. All are commenting without reading the Report and based on media reports and comments. It was known that The commission would give no better report than what is given. he must have courage to up hold truth and justice ans mr. J. somashekar would not have that. But the legal pundita and the lawyers could not book cases against the Police who beat ladies and entirng the church premises and attacking christians at Mangalore and police officers were recognizable by viewing the TV channel recordings etc and there was sufficient proof. If they failed to file complaints before the magistrates at Mangalore, bantwal or elsewhere, there is no meaning now commenting about the report. that to without thoroughly reading and understanding it. The whole matter was masterminded and me thinks, the mind of BSY and j. Somashekar ar working on similar lines both contradict their statments in next occasion. Seeing this j. Somashekar has follwed Mr BSY. by Commenting more on this would mean to glorify the head of the Commission.

This is the best example of promoting communal harmony and good will among different communities in India at a time when fundamentalists from different communities are spreading communal tensions in the name of their respective religions. The Mescom is looting the consumers under the guise of inspection and wrong findings and charging heavy penalty. There after even though there is grave errors in calculations and misinterpretations of their own tariffs rules loot the consumers and direct them to appeal to Chief engineer Chamundeshwari Ele company at Mysore. Consumer Court though having juridiction the Mescom is playing stupidly through thier advocates and harass the consumers and threaten disconnections. The Hon ble Minister must look into these and help the village consumers. It is learnt that the departmental bosses after charging heavily settle the matter if they are paid Rs.5000(without receipt) and even completely drop the findings. In Karkala taluk this has been rampant during the last two months. But the consumers have no voice.
This practice must be condemned by all.

No surprises here really other than Christopher Nolan getting snubbed in the Best Director category. I thought The Social Network was severely overrated and got most of its attention due to the subject matter rather than the movie as a whole. I m a big David Fincher fan and he s never let me down. Good movie but it didn t make my Top Ten. I thought Howl was by far the best movie of the year with its combination of animation, acting (James Franco as Allen Ginsberg), and cinematography.
