This shows the discrimination to other sports. Even though the sports persons who represented the country are badly in need of land no one asks about them. But on the other hand millions of rupees is poured on the cricketers and still the politicians want to give them land, just for publicity sake.

Problem is that today the entire show is easily managed by the corrupt forces, be it bureaucracy, judiciary or Media they have perfect control and can easily cheat on innocent people. They create issues to divert attention from the real issues. Each and every issue culminates with formation of a committee and the issues is foregone. Media plays totally in control of these corrupt powers, e.g. one time respected channel NDTV is now Congress\ s offical channel. Look at Sharad Pawar, classic example, he is like epitome of corrupt politics but still booming. Maharashtra has become most corrupt Indian state, a status Bihar used to have long back. Another exaple is Manmohan Singh, inspite of everything going wrong, he not only continues but media portrays him as an Indian hero despite that both his government and congress party is neck deep into shit of corruption. Still they will fight election and probably win also. Similarly BJP though opposing Congress tooth and nail , but continuing with Yeduyurappa in Karnataka. God bless our country, but the kind of nexus Goons-turned-politicians, media persons and bureaucrats have formed, very difficult to beat them.

These sites wont make any big difference to the cricketers, as they already got lots of rewards from ICC(4.5 Crore each) and BCC (1 crore each). Apart from this they also get lots of money from Advertisements also.

There are many others games apart from Cricket, which are in need of financial support as well as recognition.

Udupi is like Gulf to these Bijapuris, because comparitively the wages in Udupi is very much higher than in north karnataka. Though one need to supervise their work to have them work properly, there is no other option we have.

In Olympics in ancient times all they presented to the winner was a crown made of olive branches. Whether the cup presented to the Indian team is fake or not does not matter. Even a broken cup from a "chai shop" would have been great! What matters is the win and that too against top ranking teams! After all India is not going to sell the cup and make money. To hell with the original cup if it was not presented to us.
