No doubt,Mr.Chris the Failaka island project was halted for a long time as there was an intension to develop it into a heritage site which was stated by UNESCO s permanent delegation Mr. Ali Ahmed Al Tarrah that Failaka may be listed as world s Heritage center and the bid to include it in the world heritage list. The bid is already tendered to the World Heritage Center.

I was the General Manager for Failaka Island for 8 years, 1st May 2004 to January 2012 and developed Failaka Heritage Village. During my eight years many meetings on the island even with the Prime Minister, many big things promised, but this was just talk. We had been promised that the restructuring of Failaka would start in 2006. 2008, 2009, 2010 and in 2011, when I left in January 2012 still just talk. Time for the government to fulfil the promises about Failaka Island.

Picnic organised by bellevision was really very good, enjoyed a lot, but in future when conducting any programme please choose proper anchors, it was looking like they are insulting some persons, because we know it was a fun filled day, but some anchors are doing it as comedy circus, there should be some seriousness while conducting games and all. thats all I want to say to Bellevision team. I congratulate all committe members for their efforts.

It all depends on the concept of normalcy and abnormalcy . To explain, Belly dancing is a well known style of dancing in Russian culture which is normal to them. But for some narrow minded patriots (so called) this sounds abnormal. But given a chance, the whole scenario is mesmerizing and breathtaking when this is a part of their tour package to Russia.
I hope the concept of normalcy and ab-normalcy is explained!!!!. A Clean Mind,Clear Eyes and a Clean Heart is all you need to acknowledge and respect any culture.Come on Guys, stop nagging these petty issues.......

I think ICYM Thakode had tried some thing different by introducing Belly Dancing,But the location which they choose was not appropriate one for this sort of Events,Parish Grounds are close to the church many parishioners will pass an negative comment on the above said show though they enjoy it.Any way Guys be wise next time

Why do these neighbours go themselves inside and check for themselves instead of informing some of the job-less people to their dirty job. There is no admission required to visit any ice-cream bar etc

Two saints here are advising what catholic youth and priests should watch¦ and failed to observe several other events in the programme apart from Belly dance. Belly dance is a lot decent theme compared to what every household watches in most movies and TV scenes. It is fine in the movies and TV....when our youth organizing something different than stereotype, eye brows raised!!!! It is not necessary that we should learn from every entertainment programmes...it is a relaxation, stress relief and fun. Organizers alone knows what it takes to execute good programmes. It is easy for critics to find some faults when it is habit for some. No one is perfect and cannot satisfy everyone. When you dig and point fingers at others history remaining fingers point in opposite direction!!!!

No doubt, ICLF and Justice (retd) Saldhana are doing yeomen service to the community. I wish their awareness campaigns well. The ultimate goal is that greater transparency is brought about in temporal affairs of the churches. The assets must serve the poor in the community on priority basis instead of being used as a tools for political influence peddling.

Having said that, in all fairness, it is not correct that only laity by their contributions and donations have created these assets. The clergy has provided the leadership; many have worked hard and for long hours. Solicited funds, begged, cajoled and in the process been humiliated, and abused too. It is not only money (capital) that creates an institution and asset.

Further, ICLF must not alienate the right thinking clergy but work to cleanse the system of the non-christian dictatorial types.

But just imagine the people with white cask also watching.. may be now rules are little relaxed it seems to priests also in Mangalore...But if you see the history same person was director for us also in CYM... who was famous for night visits.. what else one can expect ... But where are our respectful priests who were our guides? They have to strongly condemn this... What culture the youth want to learn from Russian dance? How many of these youth are ready for getting in to politics to promote the right candidate in the next assembly election... may be they will be busy watching the recorded videos of belly dancing that time...
