Dear Wilma, I was very happy to go through the account of your picnic is Belle Vision. I am happy that you have made your entry in Belle Vision. I feel sorry that ever though there are excellent writers and gifted persons like Dr. Eugine D Souza who was known as "Boreinar" in Kanakanady novels, articles, poems and dramas and the genious Sri Philip Mudartha, the first rank holder in S.S.L.C., the Konkany Section is limping. I appeal to all writes to attempt in Konkanai and Belle Vision be made an effective channel in Konkany Literature. Fr. Denis Castelino, Vianney Home

Discipline should be the criteria. One cannot flaunt with logos beyond the permissible limit, whether he is a star or superstar. The highly paid cricketers of our country, some time indulging in over use of the manufacturers logos (knowingly) for monetary gains, which is against the ICC code of conduct for players. Hence Cricketer Ashwin deservedly fined 10 percent of his match fee. Tough luck Ashwin, but well bowled!!!

"We will always be close" is a phrase that will echo for sometime and will be viewed with distress and joy in opposite camps.

Ah, I just realized BV, Bahrain is as young (or old)as Bloody Thursday-2011. What a coincidence! As BV marked its anniversary, the Pearl Uprising too were marking theirs.
I have a reason I link these events. I sense anxiety, stress and fear among our people, both bachelors and living with families. Rents are rising in localities considered safe, and not all our people can afford those localities. Under such trying circumstances, the leaders of BV(B)have an ominous task on their shoulders. May the conviviality and community spirit generated come handy when, God forbid, any member or non-member from Belle and neighboring parishes is affected by the unrest. All the best.

Last Friday I happened to visit this garden. The entry to the garden is bit tricky and risky as the approach road is half done and there are no direction boards except one small on Emirates road. We missed the exit once and tried again and missed. Determined, took a detour and entered again only to miss a head on collision on the inner road. Anyway, managed to reach there. Worth visiting with family and kids. Try no to visit after sunset. At Arabian Ranches interchange take the exit to Motor City and Arjan. Stick to the extreme right lane and look for a small sign board on the road side which says "Dubai Miracle Garden". Once you enter the garden, your eyes will be feasting on blend of colours. It is not a picnic spot! Visit and move around for a couple of hours and return. Worth it.

Heartfelt Condolences to Wife, Daughters Sevri Mausi all the Family members on the sudden and unexpected demise of Robbu. Never thought the person to whom we talked in the morning will not be there in the afternoon for us to meet. We appreciate his hospitality for calling us during our stay in Bangalore. Never expected his sudden demise, May God give enough strength to the bereaved family members to withstand this sudden loss. May his soul rest in peace.

Ricky Ponting is a very good choice for MI. It would be nice to watch Ricky and Sachin bat together. A ravage pull from the Australian would be matched by an aesthetic cover drive from the Master Blaster Sachin. It would be a delight for the cricket lovers around the world. Anil Kumble being the mentor of the MI and more than 8 specialist T20 overseas players in the ranks to choose from, one can imagine the MI strategy for IPL-6.
