Karkala, 22 Jun 2017: Yoga has history of over 5,000 years in ancient Indian culture. It promotes peace of mind and a divine experience, said Swami Sadanand of Yesudhama, Jhansi, UP.

 

He was speaking after inaugurating International Yoga Day celebrations at St Joseph’s education institutions, Belman, near here, on Wednesday, June 21.

Mass yoga practice was held at the leadership of yoga teacher B Pundalika Marate.

 

The head teacher of Kannada medium school - Sr Lucy Pereira welcomed the gathering.

 

The head teacher of English medium school Lidia Aranha, teacher Vincent Pinto and other teachers were present.
