Puttur: Annual Retreat held at St Philomena PU College

Puttur, 28 Aug 2016: Under the auspices of Divya Chethana Association of St Philomena Pre-University College, annual retreat was held at the Divya Chethana Chapel, here on August 25.

 

Fr Vijay Machado, director of Mangala Jyothi, Mangaluru was the preacher. He spoke on love of God, love neighbor, and God’s mercy. In his PowerPoint presentation, he highlighted different acts of mercy.

 

 

The retreat comprised praise and worship, adoration, confessions and Eucharistic Celebrations. Bro Ronson led the choir.

 

In the inaugural session, campus director Fr Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro spoke about the importance of having retreat.

 

The principal of the College Fr Vijay Lobo welcomed the preacher and introduced the dynamics of the retreat. The group animators facilitated the retreat programme.

 

Altogether 140 students have participated in the retreat.
