Lack of love from family pushes PUC student to suicide

Kundapur, 25 Jul 2016: In a tragic incident, a young girl ended her life by hanging herself from her bedroom window late night on Saturday.

 

Pragathi Shetty (16) was a PUC student in Commerce at Bidkalkatte Pre-University Government College; she completed her SSLC at Morarji Desai Residential School.

 

 

Sources say that Pragathi quarreled with a classmate on Friday and the parents were called to college. It is said that Pragathi was upset that her parents shouted at her regarding the incident at college and that must have been the reason why she took the extreme step. But the Principal denied it.

 

However, a suicide note found stated that she took the extreme step as her family did not love her and that only her younger sister was loved.

 

The Kota police sent the body for an autopsy. A case has been registered.
